American Red Cross of Mid-South

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Letter from Executive Director, Laura Vaughn – February 2015

Our organization is not reflected by the face of a single person,

but in the hearts and hands of those who serve.

Laura Vaughn v2 white bResidential fire displaces an average of two to three families from their homes each day in the Mid-South. Red Cross Disaster Action Team Volunteers stand ready 24 hours a day/7 days a week to provide hope and assistance to those families who are impacted. With a need this great, we need more people to join our Disaster Action Team. As a Disaster Action Team member you, too, can help support friends and neighbors in our community who experience the devastation caused by fire. You, too, can turn your compassion into action! Training is free, but the impact that you can make on those in our community simply cannot be measured. If already serving as a Red Cross Volunteer, we ask that you encourage your friends and family to join you at the Red Cross.
